We were delighted to host an Innovation and Networking Event at Ground-Guards HQ this week, as industry leaders and figureheads from around the UK came together to discuss opportunities for the construction and hire industries.
Guest speakers included Andrew Jones MP, who talked about HS2 and the opportunities that it, along with other mega projects, can offer contractors.
Chris Jackson, CECA, gave a presentation on Devolution and Opportunities in Infrastructure.
Tim Embley, Costain Group, explained how best to Meet National Needs Through Innovation.
And Graham Edgell, Morgan Sindall Group, spoke about Infrastructure Opportunities and Challenges.
As well as these insightful presentations, guests were treated to a range of new product demonstrations, featuring the latest industry innovations, including mat washers, sweepers and a selection of ground protection solutions.
The event was a great opportunity for industry leaders to come together, share ideas and network.
The day had a relaxed atmosphere, with professional pianist Dorothy Pomfret contributing to the lovely background ambiance.
Guests were treated to a special steak and salmon dinner. The day was rounded off with a prize draw, as Jame McGiver, Selwood, was the lucky winner of a luxurious goody hamper.
